What We Want

The Postdoctoral Research Associate will complete duties specifically related to research activities, which will require an advanced level of knowledge in statistics. The selected candidate should be predominantly intellectual and varied in character, as they will require consistent use of discretion and judgment. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will also be responsible for presenting their research, writing and publishing papers, as well as creating software for the dissemination of research findings. What You Need to Know

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected candidate's education and experience.

Required Education:

  • Appropriate PhD

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

  • Expertise in Bayesian data modeling and computation

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • PhD in statistics or in related fields

  • Experience in Bayesian computation with complex and big data, handling of neuroimaging datasets

  • Experience in multi-core computation

Responsibilities:

  • Research: Conduct and present research in the area of statistical modeling for multi-modal neuroimaging data.

  • Publication and Collaboration: Write and publish papers, collaborate with researchers within TAMU and researchers in the University of California San Francisco on the topics from the research area.

  • Research Dissemination: Create software for wide dissemination of the research and perform other duties as assigned.
