Job Description

Position Summary

We seek highly motivated individual interested in quantitative MRI methods and applications. This position is in the lab of Prof. Dmitriy Yablonskiy. In this position, a successful candidate will work on further improvement and applications of novel quantitative MRI-based techniques developed in our lab to better understand how human brain genetic and cellular microstructure affects brain functioning in healthy people, patients with Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and other CNS diseases. The work will involve image acquisition at clinical and/or pre-clinical MRI scanners, post-processing and analysis of imaging data. Our lab has access to several human 3T MRI scanners, 3T human PET-MR scanner and preclinical MRI and PET facility.

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in MRI physics, biomedical engineering, neuroscience or similar program.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and the ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment of multi-disciplinary group of experts including MRI physicists, computer scientists, radiologists, neuroscientists and clinicians at the Washington University School of Medicine.

Preferred Qualifications

Siemens MRI sequence programming, computer programming languages such as MATLAB, Python or C/C++, and machine learning.

Working Conditions

This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.

Salary Range

Base pay is commensurate with experience.
