Job Description

Position Summary

This position is for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on research on social metamemory signaling and evaluation. The research requires the evaluation and manipulation of the language individuals use to justify memory decisions, in addition to the application of machine learning algorithms to decode these reports focusing on both content and acoustic properties.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Study Development: Conducting literature review, designing studies, creating study materials and collecting data.
  • Analyzing Data: Compiling, cleaning, and analyzing data.
  • Writing: Writing manuscripts.
  • Communication: Meet with the PI and the lab regularly to discuss research progress and address any issues that arise.
  • Presentation: Present research posters and talks at conferences.

Required Qualifications

  • A PhD in Psychology or a related field.
  • Expertise with developing and conducting lab, web-based and/or in-person psychology studies.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete projects, as evidenced by quantity and quality of publications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently, and take initiative.
  • Skilled at research design, participant recruitment, data management, statistical analysis, and scientific writing, and an interest in mentoring junior lab members in these areas.

Salary Range

Base pay is commensurate with experience.
