Job Description

Position Summary

The Program in Physical Therapy at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis has an opening for a postdoctoral research associate to join the Stroke Recovery, Rehabilitation, and Accelerometry research group led by Catherine Lang, PT, PhD. Our research is aimed at developing effective and efficient, individualized rehabilitation for people with neurological and neurodevelopmental conditions. A key tool for our lab is the use of wearable sensors (accelerometers) to quantifying human movement in daily life. This quantitative tool offers a convenient, accurate, and scalable way of measuring real-world movement outside the clinic or laboratory. Our interdisciplinary, interactive environment promotes collaborations within and outside the group with scientists and clinicians, resulting in a long-standing, productive research program. The successful applicant shares our passion for rigorous, clinically-relevant research, and will contribute to all aspects of the research process including brainstorming, project planning, subject recruitment, data collection and processing, database management, statistical analysis, and dissemination.
