Deadline: The position may have been removed or expired!
The Krienen Lab (krienenlab.org) at the Princeton Neuroscience Institute is looking for highly motivated candidates for postdoctoral or more senior positions. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary group and perform cutting-edge research on the molecular, cellular, and neurobiological mechanisms of brain evolution, development and/or disorders. The lab (1) develops new tools and approaches to study cell types in non-human primate systems, (2) characterizes developmental processes that lead to primate brain specializations and (3) applies scalable molecular analyses of disease relevant mutations to inform models of human brain function and disorder. The term of this appointment is one year, with the possibility of renewal based upon satisfactory performance and funding.

We are currently seeking exceptionally talented candidates with a strong background in molecular biology, neurobiology and/or genomics, and have experience with cellular and molecular and/or computational biology techniques. Successful applicants will be energetic and organized team players who can maintain independent research projects and have a desire to learn, troubleshoot, and design new experimental approaches in a collaborative and supportive setting. Applications from members of groups historically under-represented in Neuroscience are encouraged.

Requirements:
Qualified candidates should have:
*PhD in neuroscience, molecular/cellular biology, biochemistry, computational biology, or related field
*Skill in biochemical and/or molecular biological techniques (e.g. protein/DNA/RNA analysis, cell culture, histological analysis of tissue samples, single cell sequencing, genome engineering).
*Experience with developing or applying robust and generalizable computational biology methods, preferably for applications on -omics and biological sequences
*Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
*Strong publication record
*Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
*Must be able to handle a variety of tasks and to adapt to a highly dynamic environment

Interested applicants must apply at https://puwebp.princeton.edu/AcadHire/position/25721 and include a cover letter stating background and professional interests, a CV including all publications, and contact information for two or more referees.
