Job Description

Position Summary

The Orthopaedic Research Labs (PI: Matthew Silva) in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Washington University in Saint Louis has an opening for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the area of Fracture Healing and Bone Regeneration. The associate will work on studies to understand the role of cell proliferation on fracture healing using mice, and methods to improve fracture healing outcomes. 

You will join a multidisciplinary orthopaedic research laboratory, part of the dynamic community of the Washington University Musculoskeletal Research Center (www.musculoskeletal.wustl.edu ).

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. in cell or molecular biology, biomedical engineering, or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven record in musculoskeletal research.
  • Experience working with transgenic/knockout mice.

Working Conditions

This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals.

Salary Range

Base pay is commensurate with experience.
