About the Opportunity
Job Summary:
Northeastern University is seeking a highly motivated post-doctoral researcher to join our project team in developing self-learning digital twins for biopharmaceutical products. The project is a collaboration between Northeastern University and biopharmaceutical industry partners. The successful candidate will work on a project that aims to develop self-learning digital twins, machine learning, and PATs for biopharmaceutical products. The overarching goals of the project are to bring ML/AL innovation to facilitate biomanufacturing 4.0 and speed up production process development and automation. This project provides a dynamic academic environment offering researchers the opportunity for a wide breadth of experiences:
- Create, present, and publish scholarly research through collaborative industry and university relationship.
- Develop technical skills through building and calibrating intelligent models.
- Engage with faculty who participate in various interdisciplinary research.
- Network with area residents and other Northeastern fellows via professional development programs, seminars.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or related.
- Solid background in stochastic process, simulation, ML, mathematic statistical methods, and understanding of biomanufacturing process.
- Experience in doing research in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Fast learner and comfortable to learn new subjects.
- Strong interest in combining different scientific disciplines to develop new insights.
- Excellent programming skills (e.g., Python).
- Excellent command of the English language.
