Two-year Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the Department of Physics.. |
Responsibilities: |
Applications are invited for a two-year postdoc position for astrophysics projects, SuperCDMS, GAPS, and/or GRAMS. SuperCDMS (Cryogenic Dark Matter Search) is a direct dark matter search experiment located at SNOLAB in Canada. The early operation at the Cryogenic Underground TEst (CUTE) facility in SNOLAB is already started. GAPS is a balloon-based indirect dark matter search with antinuclei. The first GAPS (General Antiparticle Spectrometer) science flight from the antarctic is scheduled in 2022/2023. GRAMS (Gamma-Ray and AntiMatter Survey) is a proposed balloon/satellite mission for targeting MeV gamma-ray observations and antimatter-based indirect dark matter searches. We are currently building a prototype detector, MinGRAMS, at Northeastern University. |
Qualifications: |
