Required Education:

  • Appropriate PhD

Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong work ethic, excellent organizational and communication skills, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Education:

  • Recent PhD

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous work in the field of cancer biology
  • Strong publication record in molecular biology, RNA biology and related fields

Preferred Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: T

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – in English –
  • Capable of working within a team of wet and dry lab researchers.
  • Experience working with diverse individuals and communities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform hypothesis driven research with a clear understanding and use of controls.
  • Perform experiments at the bench level to support investigative work, potentially including, but not limited to molecular biology assays, DNA sequencing, PCR amplification, RT-PCR amplification, TC culture, BLS2/3 work, CRISPR/Cas9 screening and editing.
  • Devise innovative experimental approaches to address and validate findings from computational analysis.
  • Statistical analysis of results
  • Recover, compile and verify accuracy of research data, Interpret and report on experimental results. Operate analytical instruments
  • Perform and modify documented protocols and assays
  • Maintain laboratory records and compile data on experiments and assays
  • Present your research through grants, manuscripts, easy to interpret figures, and presentations (oral/poster).
  • Take a leading role in data generation, analysis, interpretation, and drafting of manuscripts for publication
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
