About the Opportunity

This position focuses on research on two projects, one aimed at understanding and supporting online mutual aid groups in their use of technology, and one aimed at supporting collaborations between cryptographers, HCI researchers, and community organizations. A key aspect of the projects is close collaboration with mutual aid and community organizations, and so one of the key research responsibilities of the postdoc will be to build and maintain relationships with community organizations with whom we conduct the research and broader impacts activities.


Responsibilities:
 

Assist in initiating, executing, and completing research and experiments.

Prepare and write research papers, presentations, grant proposals.

Train Graduate Students.

Laboratory Management.


Qualifications:
 

Candidate should have a background in community organizing and a PhD in cryptography or usable security and privacy research.
