Description:

Position Summary
The candidate will conduct research activities under the supervision of the Principal Investigators, Dr. Miya Kang and Dr.Chun-Chieh Huang. The post-doc will focus on research and scientific techniques within the fields of wound healing and exosome-mediated tissue regeneration using experimental animal models as well as isolated and cultured primary cells.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Principal Investigator, other lab researchers to design research objectives
  • Testing, optimizing and implementing both new and existing methods/techniques
  • Developing comprehensive laboratory protocols while maintaining accurate records of the work performed
  • Generating data, compiling figures and drafting documents for grant applications and peer-reviewed manuscripts
  • Able to supervise and train others in specialized tasks
  • Maintain lab notebook
  • Present research findings at national/scientific conferences
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
• PhD in sciences, engineering or other related health science fields. Applicants must be within the first 5 years of
receiving their PhD/Doctorate degree to be eligible for this position.
• Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods
• Proficient in lab research techniques (cell culture of primary cells, western blot, DNA and RNA purification, PCR, RTPCR,
immunohistochemical analysis)

Preferred Qualifications
• Have experience in handling rodents and isolating primary cells
