Description:

Position Summary
The candidate will conduct research activities in the field of tissue regeneration under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, Dr. Seung Chung. The lab has a long-standing interest in the process of nerve regeneration and hard tissue mineralization using stem cell engineering. The post-doc will focus on research and scientific techniques within the fields of stem cell engineering and tissue regeneration using experimental animal models as well as isolated and cultured cells.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Principal Investigator, other lab researchers to design research objectives.
  • Experience in the field of stem cell engineering and tissue regeneration
  • Experience with cell culture techniques and animal models
  • Testing, optimizing, and implementing both new and existing methods/techniques.
  • Generating data, compiling figures and drafting documents for peer-reviewed manuscripts
  • Able to supervise and train others in specialized tasks.
  • Present research findings at national/scientific conferences
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
1. PhD in Life Sciences and related area
2. Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods.
3. Proficient in lab research techniques.
