Summary of Position | Applicants are invited to apply for a full-time postdoctoral research associate position in Mathematics Education in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, with an appointment beginning between June 1, 2024 and August 1, 2024. The successful candidate will work directly with Professor Sheree Sharpe in the area of algebra education and meta-research. The position is a 12-month 100% NSF-grant funded research appointment renewable for an additional year, based upon satisfactory annual performance. The project goals include conducting meta-research that integrates the results from quantitative meta-analysis and qualitative meta-synthesis to inform our understanding of algebra teaching approach on the mathematics achievements of secondary students. Salary starts at $55,000. Candidates from underrepresented backgrounds in mathematics education are strongly encouraged to apply.
