The Department of Biostatistics at Brown University is seeking a highly motivated individual for a post-doctoral fellowship interested in developing statistical methods for modeling medical imaging data. The position will include opportunities to collaborate with clinicians and researchers studying neurological disorders, develop methods for longitudinally collected positron emission tomography and magnetic resonance imaging data among other imaging modalities, machine learning methods for prediction, and contribute to understanding brain biomarkers of diseases such as the Alzheimer's disease. The postdoctoral associate will be primarily mentored by Dr. Ani Eloyan with opportunities for collaborating with other faculty members in Brown University Department of Biostatistics and the Carney Institute for Brain Science. This is a two-year position.

The successful candidate will develop methods for modeling brain imaging data including manifold learning,
topological data analysis, and dimension reduction techniques. The models will then be implemented by the candidate to model longitudinally collected imaging data in large observational studies such as the Alzheimer's disease neuroimaging initiative and the longitudinal early-onset Alzheimer's disease study to estimate biomarkers of disease development processes that can be used in clinical trials.

Positions qualifications include PhD degree in biostatistics, statistics or related quantitative field with considerable knowledge and experience in R. Candidates with experience in causal inference, neuroimaging data, and network analysis are especially welcome to apply.

Interested applicants should apply online at http://apply.interfolio.com/123401 by December 15, 2023.  Please upload the following: letter of application, a description of current and planned research, a diversity statement, and an updated curriculum vitae.
