Position Highlights | The Department of Physiology in the College of Medicine - Tucson campus is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate I to join the lab of Associate Professor Shaowen Bao. The purpose of this position is to conduct investigation of the mechanisms underlying noise trauma-induced neuronal death using advanced molecular, cellular and electrophysiological techniques. The candidate is expected to have extensive experience with extracellular electrophysiology, immunofluorescence imaging, circuit tracing, behavioral testing and patch clamp recording. An important component of this position will be to work independently and as part of a team in the daily function of the laboratory. The successful candidate will plan, coordinate, and participate in all aspects of the research project. This includes evaluating research data, revising, improving and monitoring techniques, and developing innovative methods and approaches to solve scientific problems while meeting goals and objectives in accordance with priorities, time, funding, and other limitations.
