Position Highlights

The R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy, Pharmacology and Toxicology Department seeks a Postdoctoral Research Associate I for Dr. Xinglong Wang's lab. The Wang lab focuses on pathomechanisms of TDP-43 neurotoxicity and mitochondrial dysfunction in neurodegeneration. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research and receive outstanding training.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct research projects.
  • Analyze research results and help determine next steps.
  • Write manuscripts and progress reports.
  • Assist in grant and manuscript editing and writing.
  • Help train undergraduate and graduate students in the lab; Assist in routine laboratory management and maintaining lab equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in neuroscience or related field upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Peer-reviewed publication record and working experience in molecular biology and cell biology techniques.
  • A background in the field of neuroscience.
