Required Education:

  • Appropriate PhD

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Data analysis

  • Operational experience in radiation detectors

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • PhD in experimental particle physics or a related field

  • Experience with cryogenic detectors, data analysis, GEANT 4

  • Related experience with radiation detectors gained during completion of PhD requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Operations — SuperCDMS - Participate in commissioning and operation of the SuperCDMS SNOLAB experiment

  • Operations — MINER - Participate in operation of the MINER experiment

  • Data analysis - Perform data analysis on test facilities, SuperCDMS data, and MINER data

  • Detector fabrication - Learn and participate in various detector fabrications led by project engineer

  • Mentoring - Mentor graduate students on various data analysis and detector fabrication projects

  • Other duties -Perform other duties, as assigned
