Postdoctoral Research Associate - Cosmology

The department of Physics seeks a Postdoctoral or more senior Research Associate (s) for research on axion dark matter detection. The successful candidate will participate in the research activities of the lab, working with graduate and undergraduate students as well as with other postdoctoral researchers. 
 
The research focuses on the development of experimental searches for wave-like axion dark matter. Candidates applying for the position must possess basic machining skills and proficiency with cryogenic design, operation of superconducting devices and amplifiers (e.g., dc SQUIDs), microwave engineering, and RF electronics. Proficiency with Python, CAD programs (e.g., SolidWorks), and COMSOL and knowledge of theoretical cosmology or particle physics is desired.
 
Appointments are for one year with the possibility of renewal up to three years subject to satisfactory performance and continued funding.
