Position Summary

Do you want to play a key role in a pioneering project? Have a good knowledge of statistical physics, thermodynamics and molecular simulations? Interested in molecular and cell biology? Skilled in programming, database systems and computer graphics? If you answer ‘yes’ to most of these questions, you are welcome to apply to join the group of Computational biophysics and Molecular design (Kireev lab).

We are looking for a creative scientist to drive the development of computational tools for physics-based simulations of ultra-large biological systems (eventually whole cells). We build a system combining the strengths of molecular dynamics and systems biology. The tools developed will be used to crack the mechanics of cell reprogramming (a key problem in regenerative medicine).

You will also have opportunity to apply your computational skills in drug discovery and chemical biology, working in project teams with chemists and biologists in the Center for Integrative Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery (CICBDD).
