Job Description

Position Summary

The Head-Marsden group (headmarsdengroup.github.io/ ) in the Department of Chemistry (https://chemistry.wustl.edu/ ) at Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a post-doctoral research associate for a one-year position that is renewable upon successful performance and funding. Our group develops methods and algorithms to consider the static and time-evolving electronic structure of systems interacting with complex environments. In addition to their independent research project, the post-doctoral research assistant will also aid in the mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students.

Required Qualifications

Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent terminal or doctoral degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in chemistry, physics, or related field.
  • Research expertise in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable for this position: quantum computing, mathematical/scientific computing, correlated electronic structure, quantum dynamics, spectroscopy.

Salary Range

Base pay is commensurate with experience.
