The College of Arts and Sciences is seeking to hire an experienced Postdoctoral Research Associate. This position will be responsible for conducting laboratory experiments, investigating the role of microglia in the synaptic rewiring and long-term behavioral changes caused by early-life adversity; such as increased susceptibility to stress and depressive-like behavior. The Research Associate will be expected to author publications resulting from this work and present research progress at national conferences, as well as, encouraged to submit fellowship and grant proposals for career development. The fellow will work as part of a diverse and supportive team, and will have opportunities to collaborate with others and act as a mentor for undergraduate and graduate students.
- Performing ex vivo 2-photon imaging of acute brain slices
- Performing 3D-reconstruction confocal microscopy of microglia-synapse interactions
- Transcriptomic analysis of isolated microglia
- Running behavioral experiments in mice
Qualifications
: Ph.D. in related field required.
