Required Education and Experience:

  • Appropriate PhD

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Requires the ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
  • Contributes to team effort by working effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds
  • May require working evening and/or weekend hours

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • PhD in Science related field
  • Graduate student research work experience

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct  research in specific field
  • Participate in analyzing and disseminating data results as part of participation in group meetings
  • Prepare manuscripts, periodic reports, scientific papers/presentations and grant proposals
  • Make presentations of results at group meetings and other appropriate venues
  • Attend scientific meetings and seminars for research enhancement
  • Keep up to date on scientific research via reading of literature, etc. 
  • Provide advice and assistance to other laboratory team members, act as a mentor to students
  • Maintain laboratory instrumentation and follow applicable safety standard
  • Perform other duties as assigned
