Required Education and Experience:
- Appropriate PhD
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Requires the ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
- Contributes to team effort by working effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds
- May require working evening and/or weekend hours
Preferred Education and Experience:
- PhD in Science related field
- Graduate student research work experience
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research in specific field
- Participate in analyzing and disseminating data results as part of participation in group meetings
- Prepare manuscripts, periodic reports, scientific papers/presentations and grant proposals
- Make presentations of results at group meetings and other appropriate venues
- Attend scientific meetings and seminars for research enhancement
- Keep up to date on scientific research via reading of literature, etc.
- Provide advice and assistance to other laboratory team members, act as a mentor to students
- Maintain laboratory instrumentation and follow applicable safety standard
- Perform other duties as assigned
