Postdoctoral Associate (PDA) position in Clinical High Risk for Psychosis Program

The PRIME Psychosis Risk Clinic (https://www.prime.research.yale.edu) at Yale University School of Medicine is recruiting for an immediately available 1-2 year position.

PRIME is a research and treatment clinic with the primary mission to study the course of symptoms that are sometimes prodromal for psychosis in order to better understand and prevent the development of frank psychosis and schizophrenia. As a part of various ongoing research studies, PRIME provides early identification, assessment, and intervention services to young individuals at a clinical high risk for psychosis (CHR-P).

The PDA will:

  • Assist in outreach efforts and identification of new referrals to the clinic
  • Oversee and perform psychological assessments with new referrals and their families, including screening and diagnostic evaluation
  • Develop and collaborate on clinical research projects related to the mission of PRIME
  • Assist in organization and maintenance of a large clinical database
  • Support analysis for scientific presentations and quality improvement projects
  • Present outcome data to other clinicians, collaborating sites, and at scientific conferences
  • Prepare scientific manuscripts for publication
  • Assist in submission of research grant applications
  • If seeking licensure, the applicant will be given the opportunity to provide evidence-based intervention services to individuals at CHR-P, and receive clinical supervision

This an excellent opportunity for those interested in a career that combines clinical research and program development targeting serious mental illness and its etiology.

A doctoral degree is required (MD or PhD). Ideal candidates must have a strong interest in psychosis and a record of clinical work and some publication in the area. Analytic and presentation skills are necessary. Desirable applicants will have at least one year of clinical experience with psychotic disorders in a clinical or research setting and working familiarity with a statistical package.

Some activities will be possible to complete via videoconferencing, with some flexibility for hybrid work arrangements, but at least 50% of the work is expected to be in-person.

Interested candidates should submit a CV to:
