Summary
A postdoctoral position is available in the lab of Dr. Emilio Mottillo at Henry Ford Hospital to study lipid metabolism. Founded in 1915 by auto pioneer Henry Ford and now one of the nation's leading health care providers, Henry Ford Health System, is a not-for-profit corporation and has many highly productive labs studying metabolic disorders such as diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular disease and provides an outstanding environment for cutting-edge research.
Projects focus on molecular mechanisms of triacylglycerol metabolism related to metabolic diseases such as diabetes and fatty liver disease and include novel methods to image lipid metabolism.
Required qualifications
Highly motivated individuals who have recently obtained a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree with strong interest in metabolism and obesity-related disorders are welcome to apply. Expertise in basic science is required with a training in physiology, microscopy, cell or molecular biology being highly valued.
