Postdoctoral Fellowship in Molecular Structure and Functional Genomics

Updated: 5 days ago
Location: Bethesda, MARYLAND

We focus on diseases of the aging eye, particularly age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and cataract. We use a wide range of techniques from cell biology and animal models to biophysics and structural biology. Recent work has discovered a new mechanism in AMD and a new model for crystallin aggregation.

Applicants should have experience in cellular or structural biology and an interest in systems biology approaches. Experience in eye research is advantageous but not essential. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. with less than 4 years postdoctoral experience. The position provides generous scientific resources, stipend support, and health benefits. U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, and non-U.S. citizens are eligible to apply.
