Position Summary:       

This is a postdoctoral research fellow position in the research group of Dr. Emil Prodan (Physics Dpt., SCW), funded by the Army Research Office via the award titled “Topological Phases in Extreme Aperiodic and Correlated Regimes: A View from Noncommutative Geometry.” The position is open exclusively to candidates in their early career, specifically, to those who received their PhD degree in the past 5 years. The position is for 1 year with possibility of renewal for another year.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Become familiar with the scientific methods engaged by the project.
  • Achieve precise milestones of the research project.
  • Publish scientific papers on a regular basis and submit regular progress reports.
  • Participate in group meetings and wok collaboratively with the members engaged in the project.
  • Participate and make satisfactory progress in a training program on Applied Non-Commutative Geometry.
  • Co-develop and co-deliver lectures on subjects related to the research project.

Experience & Educational Background:

The position is open exclusively to candidates in their early career, specifically, to those who received their PhD degree in the past 5 years.

Skills & Competencies:

The candidates are required to demonstrate knowledge in Highly Correlated Models, Operator Algebras and Non-Commutative Geometry.
