Position Description


Advertised Job Summary
Under supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Post-Doctoral Fellow will contribute to a research project funded by Department of Energy to perform fuel cells/electrolyzes research .Job responsibilities (1) Synthesize and characterize materials conduction through wet chemical method and advanced scanning electron microscope techniques; (2) evaluate materials performance in cells to select the best materials in testing fixtures; (3) perform computational modeling using Multiphysics tools to predict the performance of developed materials in large cells and stacks for system designs; (4) supervise graduate and undergraduate students using hands-on demonstrations and oral experimental discussions; (5) prepare quarterly reports to fulfill the project requirements; (6) and write scholarly scientific manuscripts to disseminate research results.
Required Education and Experience
PhD in materials science or related field by employment start date.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Expertise in materials science/electrochemistry/materials characterization and testing.
