Come join the staff at OU HSC and become a part of Oklahoma's premier research university which leads the state in education and career opportunities. OU HSC is one of only four comprehensive academic health centers in the nation with seven professional colleges. We are currently building world-class institutes for the treatment of diabetes and cancer. We are looking for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team.
This position engages in mentored research or scholarly training for the purpose of acquiring the professional skills needed to pursue a career as a scientific professional. The position is temporary and is typically limited to 3-5 years. 

Duties:

  • Performs independent and; or directed research to achieve the objectives of the research project and required by the faculty supervisor in accordance with the University and Federal regulations.
  • A faculty member or principal investigator will establish the professional objectives and performance standards for the postdoctoral fellow and will perform annual evaluations. 
  • Collects and analyzes data, including periodical; literature searches and utilizes specialized skills in a related field. May collect data or information from clinical or study participants. 
  • Participates or assists in writing manuscripts for publication in scientific journals or presentations. May assist in grant writing. 
  • Responsible for lab and equipment maintenance and ordering supplies as needed. 
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Required Education: Ph.D. in the appropriate field or discipline.
