A position is available as a Postdoctoral Scholar - Employee in the group of Prof. Michael Pirrung in the Department of Chemistry at the University of California, Riverside, conducting research in enzymology and protein engineering in collaboration with Prof. Jiayu Liao in the Department of Bioengineering. Funding for this position derives from the US National Science Foundation and the UC Cancer Research Coordinating Committee. Candidates should have a demonstrated command of molecular biology, work well both independently and as part of a team, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidates should have received the PhD degree within the past few years. The research areas being pursued include bioluminescence and immuno-oncology. Knowledge of and experience in enzymology and protein structure is desirable for this opening.
