Position Summary

The Caligiuri/Yu Laboratory at Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope is looking for a talented Postdoctoral Fellow.We are a fast-paced lab involved in cutting-edge technology, research and clinical immunotherapy investigations. We are currently looking for a postdoctoral fellow who will develop chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) NK cells derived from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) or umbilical cord blood NK or hematopoietic stem cells, oncolytic viruses, and bispecific antibodies for the treatment of various hematological malignancies or solid tumors. The PhD candidate should have experience in the field of immunology with a strong track record. This position will interact and collaborate with a team of researchers with similar interests in developing cell-based therapies in a translational research environment.

Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:

· A Ph.D. degree in immunology or biomedical sciences, or a related discipline is required.

· A candidate with iPSCs, Virology, and/or CRISPR/Immunology research background is preferred.

· At least one paper where you are the first author, published in a journal with an Impact Factor greater than 7, or several papers in journals with Impact Factors less than 7.

· Effectively design/develop a project in a translational research environment in order to successfully meet project goals.

· Design and execute laboratory experiments, critically interpret experimental results, and present data in a clear and concise manner.

· Participate in the preparation of grant applications, research publications, and attend/present at national conferences.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
