Posting Summary | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Child Health Institute of New Jersey at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator the Postdoctoral Fellow will be responsible for the performance and analysis of experiments focused on the development and function of novel immune cells. This project focuses on development and function of novel innate immune cells in vital tissues such as the lung and the brain. Will explore components of innate immunity in tissues, and how the interaction between immune and non-immune cells influence the disease outcome of airway and brain disorders (JACI. 2020. 145 (5): 1469, J Exp Med. 2020. 217 (4)). The Postdoc will participate in lab meetings, research in progress seminars, and presentations at conferences. They will prepare manuscripts based on their research, aid in developing the PI’s grant applications, and will be expected to apply for personal grant funding. COVID-19 Immunization Requirement | Rutgers University requires all new employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the employee a medical or religious exemption. Employees who are not eligible for a booster at the time of an offer of employment provide proof they have received a booster upon eligibility and upload proof of same. Failure to provide proof of primary vaccination and booster will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination. |
