Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for the Cancer Health Equity and Engagement Division within the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.  Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the Postdoctoral Fellow will coordinate the conduct of cancer prevention and control research, including research involving cancer disparities and health equity, biobehavioral mechanisms and interventions, decision making and cancer genetic/genomic care delivery, and genomic risk communication in cancer survivors and individuals at risk for cancer. 
Among the key duties of this position are the following: 
  • Implementation and dissemination of ongoing research and obtaining preliminary data for grant submissions.
  • Data analysis.
  • Training and supervising staff and students.
  • Writing and submitting manuscripts in peer-related journals.
  • Development and writing of research grant applications.
  • Assists the Principal Investigator (PI) in ongoing research.
  • Assists the study and the PI with analyzing data and preparing manuscripts, reports, and presentations.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Doctoral degree in public health, psychology (e.g., health, social, clinical, or counseling), or a related field. 
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong record of publications and excellent writing and statistical skills.
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in cancer prevention and control or psycho-oncology research.
