Position Summary:

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for NJMS- Public Health Research Institute. This position in the laboratory of Dr. Gloria Marcela Rodriguez studies host pathogen interactions in tuberculosis.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• Performs quantitative PCR, DNA isolation and gene cloning as well as RNA analysis.
• Purifies recombinant proteins and conduct protein-protein and protein- DNA interaction assays.
• Works with cell lines and primary cells and conduct ELISA and flow cytometry assays.
• Conducts microbiological assays in aseptic conditions with Mycobacterium tuberculosis in BSL-3 safety conditions.
• Understands and adheres to Rutgers compliance standards as they appear in RBHS' Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.

Minimum Education and Experience:

•  Ph.D Degree in a relevant science with working knowledge of one or more of the following disciplines achieved through undergraduate and graduate studies, and laboratory experience gained through direct laboratory experience in cell biology, bacteriology, biochemistry, molecular biology, and basic immunology.
