Deadline: The position may have been removed or expired!

The High Energy Physics Division (HEPD) at Argonne National Laboratory has an opening for a postdoctoral fellow to conduct research on particle physics theory.   We seek highly qualified candidates with interest in all areas of phenomenology of particle physics with desire to work closely with experimentalists as well as theorists. Among the experiments with Argonne HEPD involvement are, ATLAS, DUNE, g-2, Mu2e, LSST-DESC, SPT and CMB-S4. There is also interest and studies on-going for possible next generation colliders.  Beyond this work, postdoctoral researchers at the High Energy Physics (HEP) Division at Argonne are expected to contribute to the overall Division program through interactions with their colleagues, as well as to have a relevant impact on the US HEP program.

Argonne Particle Theory group members’ interests span several aspects of field theory and particle physics phenomenology, including QCD, collider physics, beyond the Standard Model phenomena, heavy quarkonium physics, topics in the interface of particle physics and cosmology, as well as precision PDFs and intersections in computing and particle theory.

The initial appointment will be for one year, with possibility of renewal for another two years.

Applications will be reviewed beginning December 5, 2022, and the position will remain open until filled.
