Position Summary
A postdoctoral fellow position in Computational Biology is immediately available. This
project involves developing and application of large-scale data analysis techniques
from Systems Biology field to molecular dynamics methods and study the dynamics
of G-protein coupled receptors complexes to understand its signaling selectivity. The
project is inter-disciplinary and provides opportunities to train in large scale data
analysis techniques as well as interact with experimental collaborator. City of Hope
provides a multi-disciplinary collaborative environment with opportunities to interact
with clinician scientists to conduct benchside to bedside research.
Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
- PhD degree in Chemistry or Physics or Biochemistry with experience in protein dynamics studies.
- The candidate should be knowledgeable about concepts in statistical thermodynamics, in python scripting and C++ programming
Preferred education experience and skills:
- Familiarity with Molecular Dynamics methods and experience in code development, is preferred.
