Postdoctoral Fellow/Laboratory Animal Medicine - 200000007Z 




An immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow in Laboratory Animal Medicine, Department of Comparative Medicine, The University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Successful completion of this 3-year program will satisfy in part the requirements leading to eligibility for board certification by the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (ACLAM). The training program consists of rotations and clinical responsibility in an AAALAC accredited program, teaching, technician training, and facility management.

Trainees accepted into the program may also enroll in the graduate degree program leading to the Master of Science in Epidemiology.  Applicants wishing to pursue the MS degree must apply for admission to the College of Graduate Health Sciences.  Research opportunities are available during the program. Clinical, research, and graduate training can be used toward eligibility for certification by ACLAM. 





Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents and graduates of an AVMA accredited school of veterinary medicine (or have completed all ECFVG or PAVE requirements). One year of post-veterinary school graduation experience is desirable and a license to practice veterinary medicine in Tennessee is required.
