Position Summary
Excellent opportunity to join a well-established National Eye Institute supported lab to study the role of sex, estrogen, estrogen receptors, and menopause on phenotype development of mouse corneal endothelial dystrophy models to address the question of whether estrogen is protective or detrimental in the development of the age-related corneal endothelial dystrophies. 
This question will be addressed through the use of estrogen receptor knockouts, several corneal endothelial dystrophy models, and a new protocol for development of mouse menopause.
Salary commensurate with experience. Project starts late Fall 2024.

Basic Qualifications
Required Qualifications
 
Candidates should possess good interpersonal and communication skills, excellent organizational skills, strong work ethic and a high motivation to learn. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
 
Minimum: PhD (or equivalent) in a biological science field required. 
 
Preferred Skills
 
Experience with mouse handling & breeding, recombinant DNA technology, microscopy, biochemistry assays.
