Summary of Job Duties:
The Postdoctoral Fellow in Psychological Science will work in collaboration with the PI to develop research ideas, implement experimental designs, provide statistical analyses, present research at scientific conferences, and publish scientific articles. The post-doc will supervise undergraduate research students and help to supervise the PI’s lab in Law and Memory Processes (LAMP)
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Psychology or related field (e.g. neuroscience, cognitive science, etc.) at the time of the appointment
Published research on topics of eyewitness identification, prospective person memory, face recognition or false memories.
Strong statistical skills
Strong written communication skills
Evidence of collegiality, defined as the ability to work effectively, cooperatively and respectfully, with other members of the department toward common goals
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to use logistic regression, ROC analyses, and CAC analyses to analyze eyewitness identification data
Ability to perform statistical analyses in R and in Python
Ability to develop experiments and analyze data using virtual reality
Ability to develop experiments and analyze data using eye-tracking
Able to program in Inquisit
