Description of Work Unit
CSU’s Systems Engineering Programs began in 2008 and offers graduate level degrees including a Master of Engineering (M.E.), Master of Science (M.S.) a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), a Professional Doctorate (D.Eng.), and a graduate certificate in Systems Engineering Practice. Systems Engineering gained Department status in 2019. The Systems Engineering courses (and all degrees) are offered face-to-face and by distance delivery, synchronously and asynchronously and may include lecture, seminar, and other distance education formats. Its culture is to embrace intellectual creativity at all levels, operating under the principles of openness, inclusiveness, and integrity.

Position Summary
The Department of Systems Engineering (https://www.engr.colostate.edu/se ) at Colorado State University (Fort Collins campus) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship position to pursue research in Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), Hybrid Neural Networks, and Imaging Artificial Networks. 
This individual will engage in groundbreaking, multi-disciplinary research in close collaboration with Dr. Steve Simske’s research groups in the Systems Engineering Department and other departments at CSU. Candidates with a demonstrated research background in GANs, Machine Learning, and agent – based modeling are encouraged to apply.

Required Job Qualifications
● Must hold a Ph.D. or documentation of completion of Ph.D. requirements in a related field by the position start date
● Experience working with hybrid neural networks
● Experience in GANs (Generative Adversarial Networks)
● Experience with imaging artificial networks
● Entry – level knowledge of machine learning
Preferred Job Qualifications
● Authored or co-authored peer – reviewed manuscripts 
● Evidence of successful student mentoring in research
● Experience with modeling and simulation methods including agent and engine-based modeling
