Job Description

The Department of Computer Science at Virginia Tech seeks a Postdoctoral Associate position. The candidate is expected to conduct research on programmable network security and server-less computing.


Required Qualifications

- PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering by the time of their appointment. PhD must be awarded no more than four years prior to the effective date of appointment with a minimum of one year eligibility remaining.
- Demonstrated research experience in computer systems and networks and network security through publications in top-tier international conferences (INFOCOM, TDSC, EuroSys, etc.).
- Good communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications


- Expertise in programmable switches (e.g., SDN, P4 switches, NFV), as well as a deep understanding of programmable network security in practice.
