Research Position (Post-doc) in the Department of Immunobiology 

The Sefik Laboratory, located in the Department of Immunobiology at the Yale School of Medicine seeks a highly motivated postdoctoral scholar to engage in cutting-edge research at the intersection of immunology and chronic inflammatory diseases. As a postdoctoral fellow in our dynamic and collaborative environment, you will have the unique opportunity to elucidate the pathophysiology of these complex conditions using state-of-the-art methodologies.

Under the direction of Dr. Sefik and a team of dedicated collaborators, you will utilize humanized organs and humanized mice harboring a human immune system to elucidate the intricate mechanisms underlying chronic inflammation and fibrosis. Through a combination of in vitro and in vivo approaches, you will contribute to advancing our understanding of these diseases, with the ultimate goal of developing novel therapeutic strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. In immunology or a relevant field
  • Experience in infectious diseases and/or in vivo mouse models
  • Laboratory skills and research experience
  • Data analysis skills
  • Teaching and/or mentoring experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
