The Clinical Cytogenetics Lab in the Department of Genetics at Yale School of Medicine is seeking a postdoctoral candidate interested in validating and utilizing genomic technologies for clinical diagnosis.
Our lab provides conventional cytogenetic analyses and chromosome microarray assay for detecting chromosomal abnormalities and pathogenic copy number variants in both clinical and research settings ( https://medicine.yale.edu/lab/cytogenetics/ ).
We are looking for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate to (1) develop and validate novel genomic testing for detecting recurrent structural rearrangements in various types of cancers; (2) perform independent research on specific case cohort, and (3) participate in collaborative research.
Candidates with experience in molecular and cytogenetics techniques, microarray analysis, next-generation sequencing (especially long read genome sequencing), and bioinformatics are encouraged to apply. Candidates would have a background in genetics or molecular biology. PhD and excellent communication and writing skills are required. Salary is on the standard of school and department guidelines.
