POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Plasma Science and Fusion Center (PSFC), to conduct research in the areas of high energy density physics (HEDP) and inertial confinement fusion (ICF) physics. Will participate in research involving collaborations with several universities around the world and national laboratories in the United States.  In addition to supporting and possibly advancing current projects, new areas of research in HEDP/ICF will be explored.  Will also support the supervision of current students. 


Job Requirements
REQUIRED: a Ph.D.; strong experimental background in the areas of HEDP, ICF, plasma physics, laboratory-astrophysics, or atomic physics; computational skills; ability to communicate effectively and work in a team-oriented environment with staff and students from MIT, other universities, and national laboratories. PREFERRED:  desire to identify new areas of research and tackle a broad range of issues related to the physics of matter in the ICF and HEDP regime. Job #20174
