Postdoctoral Associate in Organizational Behavior ILR School

The School of Industrial and Labor Relations (ILR) at Cornell University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate in Organizational Behavior. Applicants should have completed their PhD in organizational behavior, psychology, management, human resources, or a closely-related field by the time of appointment. The position will commence in August 2024 and continue for 12 to 24 months, with a flexible duration based on candidate preference.

The Postdoctoral Associate will be affiliated with ILR’s Experimental Psychology and Organizations Lab (ExPO Lab ), a group of micro organizational behavior and human resources researchers who seek to advance knowledge about fundamental psychological processes relevant to human attitudes, cognitions and behavior in organizations. The Postdoctoral Associate will actively contribute to the research mission of the lab, including working on joint projects with ExPO Lab faculty and students, while also moving their own independent research projects toward publication. We are particularly interested in candidates whose research interests align with ExPO Lab faculty members’ ongoing research activities. The Postdoctoral Associate will receive $70,000 in salary as well as a modest research budget $7,500.00 and $3,000.00 in moving allowance.

The ILR School is the world’s leading college focused on work, employment, and labor issues. The School provides a rich intellectual environment for organizational researchers, with strong ties to the SC Johnson College of Business and the Psychology and Sociology Departments. ExPO Lab faculty members are actively involved in research centers and initiatives at the ILR School and across the University, including the Behavioral Economics and Decision Research Center , the Center for Social Sciences , and the Atkinson Center for Sustainability .

Postdoctoral Associate is a full-time, academic, non-tenure track, term position with an initial one-year appointment. The position may extension for second year, depending on available funding and work.

Pay Range:

$56,484.00 - $80,000.00

Pay Ranges:

The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined considering the following criteria:

  • Prior relevant work or industry experience.
  • Education level to the extent education is relevant to the position.
  • Academic Discipline (faculty pay ranges reflects 9-month annual salary)
  • Unique applicable skills.
