POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE - Immunology

The Miao lab is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to conduct research into the interaction between bacterial pathogens and the innate immune system.

The person filling this position will perform experiments both in vitro using cell culture and in vivo using mouse models of infection.

The person filling this position will be expected to write manuscripts describing their discoveries.

Applicants should have experience in performing bacterial infections in innate immune cells in tissue culture.

Applicants should also have experience performing infections with bacteria in mice.

Successful applicants will have experience using diverse bacterial pathogens that occupy the intracellular niche, including Salmonella, Listeria, Francisella, Burkholderia, and related pathogens.
