Occupational Summary:

postdoctoral scholar position is available in Dr. Garnett Kelsoe’s laboratory at Duke University in the Department of Integrative Immunobiology. research will involve understanding the nature of the germinal center reaction in response to secondary (boost) immunizations. experiments. 

Work Performed:

The work will require expertise in breeding and maintaining mouse stocks, immunization of mice, and recovery of blood and lymphoid tissues. Your analyses will use flow cytometry, molecular biology, and two-photon microscopy. It will be necessary to maintain a laboratory notebook that carefully describes and catalogues your work, always linking data – digital and physical – to specific

Education/Training/Experience/ Skills

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. degree with research experience relevant to our lab interests, including expertise in virology and in vivo mouse models, and a desire to work independently within a collaborative team environment. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise using in vivo models of viral infections.
