Conductindependent research activities under theguidance of a faculty mentor in preparation for a full time acade mic orresearch career.


Work Performed

A postdoctoral oral position is available to study the role of TRP channels in pain, with a focus  on migraine pain. We are seeking highly motivated, hardworking and passionate researchers to join our team.  

Requirements:  

 Requirements and responsibilities:  

 - expertise in cellular, and biochemical techniques 

 - experience with mammalian cell culture

 - microscopy (live and fixed cell imaging)

 - immunoassays,

 - in vivo mouse work (pain behavi or, animal husbandry)

 - tissue sectioning and stain ing

 - trained in electrophysiology is a plus.  

 - be self-motivated and have a strong work ethic, and work well  with others.  

 - strong analytical skills

 - strong communication and organizational skills

The ideal candidate should demo nstrate a commitment to training,career advancement, and intellectual co ntribution to scientific projects withinthe lab.

The candidatewould be expected to write fellowship applications as appropriate for the development of your career, as well as the publication of scientific manuscripts.
