Duke Gastroenterology Division Job Description:

Postdoctoral Associate Roper Lab

Summary

Conduct independent research activities in the Gastroenterology Division Roper Lab in preparation for a full time academic or research career.

Work to be performed

  • Study the role of selected target genes in obesity-associated colorectal cancer using an in vivo gene knockout screen
  • Study the function of BRCA1 in radiation sensitivity of rectal cancer
  • Conduct research and laboratory experiments related to intestinal stem biology and colorectal cancer

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Preferred Education

This position requires a PhD or equivalent in biology, biochemistry, physiology, medicine, or chemistry or related scientific field.

Preferred Experience

Work requires experience in research and related laboratory experience.
