Postdoctoral Associate
This postdoctoral position is funded by an R01 grant (1R01AG082954-01) from the National Institute on Aging in collaboration with Northwestern University. The project is titled "Advancing the Study of Social Isolation, Loneliness, and Cognitive Functioning in Older Adults Through the Use of Integrative Data Analysis.”
As a postdoctoral associate, you will focus primarily on data analysis and manuscript preparation, with opportunities to publish as first author as well as collaborate on papers with faculty and students. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in:
- Integrative data analysis approaches, involving the synthesis of findings across independent studies.
- Lifespan developmental persepectives linking psychological factors to health.
- Cutting-edge quantiative analytic methods.
Core responsibilities include:
- Conducting data analysis for ongoing projects.
- Developing independent and collaborative publications by accessing available longitudinal data.
- Receiving mentorship in grant writing and navigating the publication process.
- Participating in career development activities through Cornell's mentoring resources and professional network.

Required Qualifications:
- Applicant must have a PhD in psychology, human development, quantitative psychology, or a related area.
- Strong background/interests in health and well-being, cognitive aging and dementia, loneliness and social isolation, and integrative data analysis.
- Strong analytic skills such as structural equation modeling, multilevel modeling, longitudinal data analysis, and/or categorical analysis (e.g., growth mixture modeling) using R, Mplus, and/or SAS.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with analyzing multi-wave longitudinal and intensive longitudinal data, including survey and biomarker data from measurement burst designs.
- Evidence of independent scholarship, including a track record of peer-reviewed publications, and strong interpersonal and academic writing skills.
- Interest or experience in preparing grant proposals for extramural funding.
This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal. Salary based on the NRSA stipend levels.

Pay Range:
$56,484.00 - $80,000.00
Pay Ranges:
The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined considering the following criteria:
- Prior relevant work or industry experience.
- Education level to the extent education is relevant to the position.
- Academic Discipline (faculty pay ranges reflects 9-month annual salary)
- Unique applicable skills.
