The Opportunity

The NOx Nation (Caranto Lab) in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando, FL is seeking a full-time postdoctoral research associate to study nitrogen biochemistries. The selected candidate will work on a National Institutes of Health funded project to study enzymes that mediate nitric oxide biochemistries. Duties include experimental design, and collection, analysis, documentation and presentation of data (60%); assist in training and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students (15%); write and edit grants and publications (10%); and perform equipment maintenance (10%).

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in chemistry or a related field by the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with experience in bioinorganic chemistry, enzymology, natural product biosynthesis, and/or conducting air-sensitive experiments are preferred.
